New site for Local Artist
The Client
Local artist Patrick Corbett. Patrick is easily one of my favourite clients, lovely to deal with and always full of enthusiasm for everything I do for him.
The Journey
Patrick was looking for a website to showcase his and his partner Anne's artwork and advertise his art courses and workshops.
After discussion I came up with some ideas for the layout and found a piece of artwork that worked well as the banner and background, which was also texturised for effect.
The themed galleries were the main focus of the site, particularly once Patrick and Anne decided to no longer offer workshops.
I came up with the idea of creating a picture collage for the gallery page links, using image hotspots for the links. This technique is probably not much used these days, but was fairly easy to create in Dreamweaver.
More recently we added a news section. The site is regularly updated and I always look forward to my meetings with Patrick to go over his latest ideas.
