Summer 2015 Update, Recent & Future projects

17 July, 2015

Things have been very busy here at Lakeland Web Design with mobile upgrades. Many customers have now upgraded and are getting the benefits on the search engines of having a mobile friendly website. With some light now at the end of the tunnel I can pause for a moment to draw breath and hope I will find some time to work on the Lakeland Web Design website soon!

During this very busy year, we have still found time to welcome new clients on board. Some of the more special sites (mobile friendly of course) that we have designed for local customers include Lake District Bikes. Run by John Sutcliffe, a local pig farmer who regularly shows his award-winning saddleback pigs, John also has a passion for cycling and all things bike and offers local bike tours and quality bike hire. We thoroughly enjoyed working on this site.

Another local business came to us with a new project for motorhome hire. They wanted a professional but fun style for their site and it was really rewarding to see this develop into a clean and crisp website.

Both these sites are already performing well on the search engines, which is fantastic as the Lake District can be very competitive in many fields.

By contrast, we took on two new customers with businesses much, much further afield: a big welcome to Mattie with her lovely apartments in Villefranche in the south of France, and Clive with his executive holiday homes in Florida.

Still in the pipeline, I am very happy to welcome Audrey back as my customer once again. I designed her original website for her holiday cottages in Normandy way back in 2006. It's still there, believe it or not (obviously a little dated now), but we are working on a brand new site for her and looking forward to creating something really special to show off in the future. I too am still here, as you know, though the company I was working for when I built this site no longer are. I am so pleased and proud that Audrey remembered me and came looking for me after all this time. A real testament to the effort I put into customer service.

Our other new and very exciting project is for Skylark Aerial Photography - as far as we know this will be the first dedicated drone filming service in the Lake District and we can't wait to see this one develop. The business owner is a pilot and currently working on all the preparation and official accreditation. Expect lots of gorgeous photos taken from on high of this most beautiful part of the world.

That's all for now! Have a great summer...
